Cellonet

The Warsaw-based CELLONET Group was established in 2007. It beings together eminent Polish cellists with a common objective of creative performance. Soloists known from concert halls, participants in festivals and winners of international competitions combine their experience in a group in which art and virtuosity are inseparable.

CELLONET co-operates with outstanding artists of the youngest generation, particularly laureates of the Witold Lutosławski International Competition organised in Warsaw since 1997.

CELLONET performs not only works of past masters but, wishing to expand the repertoire for cello ensembles, inspires contemporary composers to write new pieces and closely co-operates with them during the preparation for the first performances. The group also co-operates with jazz artists like Anna Maria Jopek and Leszek Możdżer.

The Group’s first concerts, enthusiastically received by the audience, took place in autumn 2007 at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, at the 17th International Festival of Young Laureates of Music Competitions in Katowice, and in the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw.

In 2008 Cellonet was invited to participate in the 51st Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music and in the Jubilee Concert celebrating Krzysztof Penderecki’s 75th birthday held at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw.

Other projects

My concert projects. Old and new. The projects I develop and perform cover a wide stylistic spectrum. Some relate to performances of the classical repertoire, some are modern creations combining performance and composition, using digital technology and multimedia.
